This allows the department to meet the changing needs of the students without formally adding or dropping courses on a quarterly basis. 57 11-345 Business Internship 5-16 hours A work-study program designed for junior and senior business administration majors to receive a variety of job-related experi– ences in a business environment. The program is arranged and ad– ministered by the business department. 11-347 Mater·ials in Teaching Business Subjects -A, Sp 2 hours A study of the materials used in teaching business subjects in high school. 11-348 Clinical Teaching-Business -A, Sp 1-3 hours A clinical experience required of teacher education students. The course includes sixty-six clock-hours ofon-campus experien– ces that are analogous to secondary school teaching. These expe– riences are arranged by the department and are supervised and evaluated as part of teacher-training requirements. They may be taken in one-, two-, or three-credit hour segments. 11-442 Business Seminar -A, W, Sp 4 hours Discussion of current business topics. Open only to seniors in business administration. ACCOUNTING 11-101, 11-102 Principles of Accounting-A, W, Sp 5 hours each quarter An introduction to the accounting for sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations. Topics include basic bookkeep– ing procedures, preparation and use of financial statements, man– agement accounting, taxes, and payroll. 11-105 Accounting Fundamentals -A 3 hours An introductory accounting course for two-year secretarial stu– dents and nonbusiness majors. No previous accounting knowl– edge is necessary. This course does not count toward the business administration major. 11-201, 11-202 Intermediate Accounting-A, W 4 hours each quarter Review of fundamentals, basic accounting theory, and practice of the financial statements. Development of the ability to analyze accounting problems and present clear, supportable solutions is stressed. Prerequisite: 11-102 Principles of Accounting
