An introduction to linear programming, transportation and as– signment pr?blems, network flow problems, and inventory sys– tems. (Alternate, odd years) FINANCE 11-171 Personal Finance --Sp 4 hours The position of the consumer in the marketplace; practices in consun:ier efficiency in planning, buying, using schedules, budgetmg, bank accounts, charge accounts, installment buying, bor.rowing, saving, insurance, income tax preparation, and mamtenance and conservation of consumer goods are em– phasized. Special attention is given to housing, the automobile medical and legal services, leisure pursuits, government services' and other major consumer purchases. ' 11-173 Church Financial Management-W 3 hours A study of the principles and procedures of the financial man– agement of ~he local church organization. This course is designed for both busmess and nonbusiness majors. The topics of financial r~cord keepi~g, purchasing, financing, building projects, finan– cial reports, msurance, property management, advertising, pas– tor's salary, pensions, social security, housing, investment, and church organization are treated. 11-371 Business Finance -A, Sp 4 hours A study of the practical and theoretical aspects of financial de– cision making. Topics include cost of capital, capital structure, management of current assets, capital budgeting, sources of funds, and statement analysis. Prerequisite: 11-102 Principles of Accounting and 11-212 Quantitative Methods.
