St. Clair, Rodney Wyse The Department of Business Administration is comprised of accounting, general business, computer information systems, economics, finance, management, marketing, and secretarial ad– ministration. This department intends to prepare the student for a lifetime of Christ-centered service. The majors in business administration are based upon a balanced program in Bible and the liberal arts. Preparation is provided for graduate study in business, careers in business, and in church financial leadership. Certification for teaching business subjects in the secondary schools is available in several fields. Minors in computer information systems and business adminis– tration are also offered by the department. Stu– dents who are preparing for the CPA examination should fulfill the requirements for the accounting major. Business Education In addition to the requirements for certification in secondary edu– cation, at least one of the teaching fields described in the Educa– tion Department section of the catalog must be selected. Comput~r Information Systems Requirements include sixteen quarter hours in 200- or 300-level computer science courses, 11-354 Management Science, and/or independent study in computer information systems. Economics Requirements include sixteen quarter hours in economics courses, 11-313 Government and Business, and/or independent study in economics.
