Satisfactory completion of field experiences. 4 1 Satisfactory completion of student teaching. 5. Acceptable scores on the National Teachers Examination (NTE). The elementary education major and certification prepares students to teach grades 1-8 in Christian and public schools. The curriculum includes thirty quarter hours of an academic concentration selected by each student. Twenty-six concentrations are available.
