To satisfy the foreign language requirement students must demonstrate foreign language proficiency of l/l + as defined by the Foreign Service Insti– tute (FSI). This competency can generally be acquired through intermediate college-level language study or other intensive foreign language programs. To satisfy the foreign culture requirement students must utilize the foreign language studied in a culture in which that language is spoken. This experi– ence must be approved in advance by the Global Economics and Interna– tional Business Committee. Possible options include foreign work-study pro– grams, foreign internships and missionary internships.
