148 Music The keyboard pedagogy emphasis prepares students to teach piano. Pro– fessional certification may be obtained by completing these course require– ments and applying for certification. Emphasis course requirements involve completion of the music major core requirements plus 6 additional quarter hours in the performance area in which the recital will be given, 3 quarter hours in a second performance area, and a junior recital.
