136 Music The performance emphasis prepares students for graduate study and careers in music performance. Emphasis course requirements involve completion of the music major core requirements plus 6 additional quarter hours in the performance area in which the recital will be given, 3 quarter hours in a second performance area. Upon completion of the requirements of this curriculum, students are awarded the bachelor of music education degree. Two tracks, choral and instrumental, are available. Guest conductors, like Major Timothy Foley of the Marine Band, often visit the College to assist in performances.
