146 Nursing Vision Statement We, the Department of Nursing at Cedarville College, are called to educate nursing students who fulfill God's purpose for their lives in local communities and throughout the world. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are leaders in promoting the health of people in a variety of settings. We are devoted to God's service through the ministry of nursing. Program Objectives At the completion of the Department of Nursing program students will be able to: 1. Apply biblical principles to nursing practice and personal growth. 2. Assist individuals, families, and communities to meet needs by promoting adaptation in and across all dimensions to achieve the highest potential for health. 3. Demonstrate professionalism in the delivery of culturally sensitive care that spans political, economic, social, and religious barriers. 4. Demonstrate the ability to skillfully manage information and ideas as a basis for planning, providing, directing, and coordinating the care of individuals, families, and communities. Accreditation and Licensure National The Department of Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing. Cedarville College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. State Cedarville College Department of Nursing has full approval by the Ohio Board of Regents and the Ohio Board of Nursing.
