162 Science and Mathematics Comprehensive Science Major The comprehensive science major is intended exclusively for secondary education students. This major offers a broad exposure to the various areas of science including biology, chemistry, earth science, and physics, and provides basic preparation for teaching these disciplines at the secondary school level. Students desiring greater depth of training in one science area, with the intention of attending graduate school, should plan to major in the science area or areas of their choice.
