Health and Secondary Physical Education Major The secondary physical education major prepares students to teach physical education in grades 7-12 in public and Christian schools. Students completing these requirements will be certified by the State of Ohio and the Association of Christian Schools International. The Ohio teaching certificate, through reciprocal agreements, is automatically recognized in thirty-five states. Those planning to teach in states other than Ohio should consult with the Department of Education to be aware of special requirements in states where reciprocity has not been established.
