Purpose The Department of Psychology seeks: 1. To develop understanding of biblical content which has psychological impact and to investigate all psychological concepts in the light of scriptural truth. 2. To provide an analysis of the person from the physical, emotional, rational, and spiritual levels. 3. To aid students in their personal adjustment to every– day life through an understanding of human behavior. 4. To prepare students for graduate study in psychology and related areas. 5. To introduce students to the world of work through internships, Christian ministries, guest lecturers and advisement. 6. To provide courses in psychology necessary for teacher certification. Programs of Study The Department of Psychology offers the following programs of study: Majors in: Psychology Applied psychology with emphases in: Child and family studies Counseling Gerontology Health psychology Industrial/Organizational psychology Minor in: Psychology Biofeedback equipment i11 the Psychology Department provides st11de11ts with insights i11to physiological psychology.
