Earning at least a C- in chemistry and biology. 2. Completion of major prerequisite courses with a GPA of 2.5 or above. 3. Completion of at least 150 clinical hours. C. First year students need to accumulate a minimum of 150 hours to be eligible for admission into the athletic training program. Once admitted to the program, students need to average 450 hours per year for each of the remaining three years to be certification eligible upon graduation. Because of the stringent requirement, participation in intercollegiate athletics is not recommended. A minimum of 750 hours of clinical experience is needed in order to participate in the required football internship.
