Academic Information 16 The Teacher-Leader Program is an accredited 34 semester hour Master of Education degree (M.Ed.). This program serves educators interested in enhancing their classroom effectiveness and becoming instructional leaders in their schools. The Principal Licensure Program is an accredited 49 semester hour extension of the Teacher-Leader program. This program can be individually tailored to meet Ohio licensure requirements for elementary, middle school, or high school. Electives permit students to develop specific areas of emphasis that correspond to their particular interests. The Master of Science in Nursing degree (M.S.N.), (anticipated launch during the 2005-2006 academic year pending Ohio Board of Regents approval), will specifically target Christian Nurse Leaders. Designed to help nurses increase their professional effectiveness in addressing the diverse challenges of contemporary health care, the program seeks to stretch critical thinking skills and provide a forum for multidisciplinary debate. A range of concentrations are being developed; however, initial concentration offerings will include Nursing Education and Intercultural (community health) Nursing.
