History The history major prepares students for graduate work or for careers in a variety of fields including government, law, business, education, public history, and the Gospel ministry. Traditionally a key component of the classical liberal arts education, history and the skills demanded by the historical process provide a necessary foundation for learning. Coursework encourages students to evaluate the historical narrative based on biblical principles, resulting in an integrative understanding.
