History The history major prepares students for graduate work or for careers in a variety of fields. With sufficient education, experience, and, if required, professional licensure in the selected field, history majors may be eligible to pursue careers in government, law, business, education, public history, and the Gospel ministry. Traditionally a key component of the classical liberal arts education, history and the skills demanded by the historical process provide a necessary foundation for learning. Coursework encourages students to evaluate the historical narrative based on biblical principles, resulting in an integrative understanding.
