Ginn paid him a visit, gave him figures on the job, and for twotweeks following Mr.' Merritt priced such work all over Springfield and other places, and then sent word to J. L . Ginn that he could have the job. From this it would seem that the Champion City is not so much of a champion as it “ used to was,”— Jamestown Comet. And that is not all. The tin work was done by Crouse A Bull, who also furnished the mantles and grates. McFarland A Mensur did the carpen ter work; Iliff Bros, did the stone work and furnished the lime, while Andrew Jackson furnished the lumber.
