A horrible accident happened Clifton last Saturday morning a t nine o’clock, at the residence of Isaac Mc­ Cullough, three miles northwest that place, in which a young man by the name of Wm, Kimble, aged 18, lost his life. He in company with his uncle, G rant McCartney, were vitit- ing a t Mr. McCullough’s for a - few days and that morning they were sit* ting in the carriage in the barn, shoot­ ing a t a mark. The young man re­ marked, “ Now watch me hit that post” and threw up his revolver towards his head before taking aim, when it W s accidentally discharged, the ball en- tering^is head just between the eyes. He fell bftce raying, “That is what I get fas fooling with a revolver.” He was taken to the house and Dr.'Spahr wascalled who pronounced the Wound fatal.
