Tru­ man’s garden on Wednesday morning, the number gathered was 346 and not all o f them were taken. They grew under a pear tree, where the ground had not been disturbed for a number o f yearn. Each year for some time mushrooms have been found there, but not in such profusion as this year. Truman has a theory in regard to the Cultivation of the mushrooms, which is that the seed is in the root which be is careful to leave in the ground, this he thinks accounts for the increase this year.
