O f all*the holidays and memorial days observed by the people of *tlie United States throughout'’ the year, there is none which should rereive more attention from the colored peo­ ple of this country than May 30th. “ Our Memorial f)ay,” which lias,been fet apart to be observed ns a day of fatting and .prayer.
