Tim Cincinnati Commercial Tri Buna of Tuesday gives an occouht of a Presbyterian ministers meeting in which Rev, Dr, Shields gave an ad dress bn “Prayer.” In the afternoon members of the Presbytery went to Venice, O., to attend the examina tion and ordination of the Rev. Ray­ mond P. Garbold. The many friends here of Rev. Garbold will he pleased to know that he is to remain in this .country and 5a not going to Japan as a missionary as was reported dur­ ing hi* last visit to thi* place. INCREASED SALARIES. The recent legislature passed a new law changing the way of compensat­ ing county auditors, and it is claimed their Salaries will be about doubled. The law in the' past compensated them upon a basis of tbe population bf the county* Tbe new law basses compensation on the amount of mon­ ey handled by the county treasurer. CARP OP THANKS. Yellow Springe^ He noticed a pecu­ liar odor from the cistern wb|ch led to an investigation and resulted in the. discovery of the body of Mrs. Johnson, who has been missing since June 15. .
