M c C lellan C olumbus , 0. I f public sentiment continues to grow as it has grown in the past month in favor of the election of Dan T. Hiser to the State Senate from the Fifth-Sixth district, his suc cess at the polls in November will- bo no surprise to his friends. Mr, Hiser. has lived all his life a consistent and earnest' advocate of the movements that make for civic good both morally and industrially, and his candidacy is in no wise apolo getic. On the contrary he is exactly the kind o f a mar. that can stand in the state senate and not only repre sent the district with ability but with integrity. Never in his life' has lie betrayed a trust and the people have honored him time and again with positions that required both ability and trustworthiness. Furthermore, his place on the ticket was not secured at the dictation of one or two political tricksters, neither does he have, to begin a campaign of explanation as to where he stands upon questions of import. People do not have to inquire as to his genuine ness,-nor accept evasive answers as to integrity and ability. One the con trary he stands four-square, clean, capable and open-minded. He will carry Highland county be cause the people know his worth, and because Highland county people arc ••--s . always eager to support tlje man whose moral worth is revealed in his social and business relations with his fellows. As a candidate on the Democratic ticket for State Senatoi’, Mr. Hiser will draw no curtain to conceal a past. He will not be .compelled to ex plain. His candidacy will bo as frank, a.s has been his daily walk. He • is not running as a new or strange Dan T. Hiser, patched up for the sake of political expediency. He will run as the same Dan T. Hiser. that you have known in business, in civic better ment, in educational earnestness, in religious work,—and . if elected he’ll, stand truo to all these convictions no matter what his environment. Highland county asks that other counties in the district gi. Dan T. .Hiser the support lie merits High land county invites investigation of _his. record. Highland county asks 'sincerely that the people of the Fifth-Sixth district cast their vote for •senator where risk is elimi nated, and if tin’s element of sincerity is allowed to accompany the voters into the booth on November 7, Dan T„ Hiser will be elected to the senate and the district will be able to go about its daily task without the need of eternal vigilance over the man chosen.—Greenfield Journal.
