For a time there was con­ siderable confusion about the build­ ing on the part of the teachers and pupils, not to the liking of the deputy fire marshal. There was a second trial and the building was emptied in the required time 55 seconds. Since the new building has been in use the fire drill has not been practiced ifi as much as the building is fireproof. Tiie authorities seem to require the drill just the same and left such or­ ders.
