Monday the legislature was called together to consider some plan of providing additional funds to com plete the payment o f the soldier’s compensation, the original bond is sue as authorized by the voters not being enough. It was not necessary to provide for another bond issue. The state has a surplus io f something Jibe eight or fen million dollars on'hand. Only about 7 and one half million more is needed so the legislature appropriat ed this money from the surplus on hand, a very wise move. It will save the state money and provide funds for the soldier boys.
