Noth ing el#e could possibly reflect the dependability of the country as such facts, If we estimate that no less than three persona live in each of these owned homes the conclusion is that approximately 18,000,000 of our people live in property that belongs either to them or to someone in their family. As compared with our population o f 110,000,000 and more,'this 'may pot seem to be a very impressive situation. One has only to analyze the same subject in Europe in order to gain an opinion o f this, country that will give us something o f a thrill, House owning never has been a matter of national interest or wide spread concern else where then in the United States. f ID4RVU.U HiOH MAXI! Cedarville boys made a remark* r.ble showing at Springfield, winning ail their games. This’ gave Cedar* Mile the right to take part in the Southwestern Division at Dayton. The boys made a big showing there by winning over two strong teams, but in the third tilt they met Platts* burg (the winners of the last year’B state tourney o f Class B) and went down to defeat after a fast game. The Cedarville five also wins the county loop league by six wins and no defeats. The Cedarville girls also enjoyed a very successful season this year, Starting out with defeating James* town they led the county league. They then journey to Boss Town ship and defeated their girls 14*9. They then beat Yellow Springs on their home floor. The Yellow Springs game at Yellow Springs', the girls were defeated by one point 13-11. We imagine that if ever a politician .vho had waxed fat off the sale of questionable securities like Boilings and Geiger-Jones was subject to at tacks of “night mare", it must have been far from the end of a perfect lay after reading what Judge Sater ,£ the United States Court had to say .vbout such work, when he sentenced Benham and Harrison of the Bollings company to 20 years each in the pen tt Leavenworth; Kan., what is known as the military prison, and" each to pay fines of $5,000. .and costs amount- ng to. $20,000. More than this these men cannot be pardoned because the court still holds one indictment that has not been tried. The holders o f 386,000,000 million worth1of these se curities hfcve lost many, many mill ions in the wreckage and what the Tudge had to say.about men engaged in such work, Was more of a sermon .ban is often heard from the pulpit A victim of one of the Geiger-Jones companies came to us once to tell qs what- the agent of those financial urates thought of the writer. We were decorated with that nasty lit tle word of four letters, The-agent felt better no doubt. The investor received in return heart ache and mental torture. If the cold-blooded agent o f the pirates read What Judge Sater did last Monday to Benhamand Garrison, and what he had to say a- oopt those who had robbed helpless widows in the sale o f such stock, we can imagine what a time the “mare" must have had Monday night.
