A meeting of the Republican Ex ecutive Committee, was held yester day afternoon and Attorney Frank H. Dean,-was given an unsolicited endorsement f o r ’ . Common Pleas Judge at the election November 2. The resolutions read: ' Whereas, Frank R , Dean, a . life long resident o f this county, is a can didate fpr Common Pleas Judge, at the election, November 2nd, and Whereas, we know him, to be a man o f sterling, integrity and high est character, loyal to the interests of his'clients, courteous to all, a lawyer o f ability, with a true judi cial temperment. Now, Therefore, be it resolved that we do hereby endorse his candidacy and urge the voters o f this County to elevate him to the high judicial .po sition to which he aspires, and which he will fill without fear or fayor. Martindale Brings Injunction Suit Alleging that cattle purchased by them for breeding.purposes did not all come up to that standard arc made by. County Auditor. R. O, Weod, chair man o f the Executive Committee, first presided and after an eulogy of Greene county introduced Dr. W. R- McChesney, president o f CedarviVe' College, as the permanent chairman o f the meeting. ' , Dr. McChesney predicted a great victory for the Republican party •in Ohio this coming election for the en tire ticket. ‘ The following state candidates were present and each made talks: Clar ence J, Brown, Secretary o f State!; Ed ward Turner, fo r attorney general;. Bert B. Buckley, state treasurer and Charles Brand, for congress, Dr, John Wesley Hill, chancellor of Lincoln , Memorial Institute, Tenne ssee, was the principal speaker o f the" evening and his appeal to the voters of Ohio to ge t out the vote-for vic tory, made a great impression.
