SCHOOL NEWS [ Student Council Completes It’s Organization In The Public School The Student CouncM o f Cedarvilie High School hss recently been organ ized to represent the students in regu lations, conduct, and spirit. It is composed o f eighteen members —three from each o f the six upper classes. The members met and elect ed the following officers; Rankin Mac Millan, president; Arthur Evans, vice president; and Veronica Black, secre tary and treasurer. The duties o f the* Student Council are to inspect the building and grounds, to supervise the lunch room, and t o takocare o f the-bulletin board. Also they take charge o f the lost and found department, and other duties as the need fo r them arises. Probably the two most important duties o f the Btudgpt Council at present are thosC o f taking care of the lost and found articles, and in specting the building and grounds. All articles lost should be reported to the chairman o f the Commltibe for this work. A list o f lost articles, as well as those that have been turned In, will be posted on the bulletin board i-om day to day. * * All articles not claimed during the year, will be sold at auction the. latter part o f the year, ’This auction will be conducted entirely by the. Student Council and any funds these sales will be used to buy something permanent for the school, such aB a picture. However, it is hoped that all articles will be claimed. Members o f the council will take their turn at inspecting buildings and grounds. This inspection takes place during the noon periods. The ones doing this duty are known as "Officers the Day.” . This particular duty lasts fo r pne week fo r each council member. . Two members are.'on duty each o f the two noon periods. Their duty is report to the office, conditions found unfavorable, such as paper on the floor in any o f the rooms and corriders, marking or defacing o f the building, paper or other refuse, etc. There are many other duties o f the council that could be mentioned if space would permit. This is a very important school activity and one which can render a valuable service to ■the entire school if conducted properly. As yet it has not met to draw np the constitution, but it will do so in h few days. Other articles will be written from time to time as the council progresses in it’s work. f Cedarvilie Theater | Saturday f , November 10 | “The River Pirate” f with 1 V ictor McLagen * ’ • , | A Fox Picture I A lso Art M -G -M Comedy I “ FIGHTING FATH ER S ” NOTICE!
