Applications in lOO- Bushel Com Club Between the yield o f corn and the amount o f fertilizer used on the corn, there is a very distinct relationship, shown by apalysis o f the Tecords kept by more thun 600 Ohio efirn growers who- have been enrolled during the past 10 years in the 100-Bushel corn project' sponsored by the Agricultural Extension Service o f the Ohio, State' University. Extension specialists from the Uni versity have divided the records into groups according to the yields which have been obtained in the Helds, The first group consists o f the records on men who have made an average' o f 60 bushels to the acre in .their attempts to grow 100 bushels. O f these-men, 52 per cent applied fertilizer broad cast, 21- per cent added a row or hill application, and 3 per cent used a side dressing. In the group which aver aged 80 bushels to the acre, 59 per cent applied fertilizer broadcast, 22 per cent applied it in the row or hill* and 2 per cent used side dressing. In the 100-bushel group 60. per cent broadcast fertilizer, 25 per cent put it into the row or hill, and 5 per centt used the side dressing method.
