A very heavy rainstorm, accompan­ ied with some lightning and wind hit this section last Friday evening. As a result the electric light service was out from about 5:80 to 10:30. Homes had to resort to tallow candles and any sort o f a light they could secure. The rainfall was paloed at 1.30 inches, State weather reports says that we are yet 2 inches back on the normal rainfall for the year.
