A. Allen, Wednesday afternoon, May 3., with eighteen members present, and quite a number of guests. Th,e meeting was called to order by the. singing of “Home, Sweet Hdme.” The subject of our program, being Mothers’ Day. Mrs. Jurkqt read a paper touching on a great many portions of scripture, bearing on mother love. Mrs. Clay­ ton McMillan offered prayer. A duet, “My Mother’s Bible,” was . sang by Miss Erma Creswell and;Miss Edna Hanna.. We Were then favored by tyro songs, "SongS . of Long Aga” and “My Grandmothers Garden,^were sang, by the Girls’ Quarteette of Cedarville College. A reading of W. D- Nesbett’r, “Your Mothers' Day,” b y Mrs, Wright. .A reading by Mrs. E. A. Allen, .“A Sor­ rowful Mother’s Advertisement.” We were then favored by a wonder­ ful paper, entitled, “The Woman Friends of Jesus,” written, and read by Mrs. Cora Trumbo. Burial took place Sunday a t Wilson, where he has resided for sohie time. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. He served three years abroad in the World Vfur. Mrs. John Turner entered the Mc­ Clellan hospital several days ago for a minor operation. Mr. M. Rev. Ralph Stewart is a master as a director of music, and Rev. Harry Rimmer is a wonderful speaker and has a great message, applying scientific investigation to the Biblical account, which strengthens the Faith in the Inspiration of the Bible.
