Church, presented to the pupils o f the public school an illustrated lecture depicting the life of Christ. These beautiful pictures gave vividly the events of Passion Week, Since the auditorium is not large enough to accommodate at one time the entire-student body, Rev. Mir. Hill 'gave two representations. The high school group saw the pictures Friday afternoon; the grades,' Monday after noon. The faculty and students appreciate these interesting and beneficial lec tures which the Rev. Mr. Jlill so kind ly and ably presents. Mrs. Jacobs’ Condition Improved The condition o f Mrs. Jacobs, who has been suffering from acute ear trouble, is slightly improved at the time of this writing. Misses Dorothy Lunsford and Regena Smith have been meeting the music and physical education classes. Further Announcement Further announcement about the senior class play will be made next week. the dramatic and entertainment values o f “ A Free Soul" and other pictures from this tainted actress that have won the first prize awards from the Academy o f Motion Pic ture Arts year after year since 1929. Robert. Montgomery, Herbert Mar shall and Skeets Gallagher will be found in the supporting cast. Starting Friday the State Theater will offer a special extended engage ment of “ Come On Marines," starring Richard Arlen and Ida Lupino. This is a thrilling story based on the love affairs of the carefree Devil Dogs that mixes so much o f exciting action maneuvers with its comedy and love scenes that advance reports indicate the very ultimate in entertainment. On the same program Laurel and Hardy, America’s clown kings of comedy, will be seen in their latest three-reel rib-tickler, “Olivet the Eighth," one of their best to date. At the Fairbanks Theater “Ninth Guest,” an intriguing mystery story of baffling murders and amazing, un canny action, will hold top position starting Sunday. The story is .from Owen Davis' thrilling best-seller dealing romantically and interesting ly with a ruthless killer whose de predations are all perpetuated on de spicable and undesirable criminal characters who are eluding police prosecution for their various and sundry rackets. This is reported as one of the most entertaining pictures of the year with Donald Cook, Gene vieve Tobin and Vince Barnes head ing a cast o :fexcellent performers.
