The ques­ tion debated was: Resolved: That Con­ gress should be empowered to over­ ride by a two-third majority vote de­ cisions o f the Supreme Court declar­ ing actions o f Congress unconstitu­ tional, The Cedarville Affirmative team; James Anderson and Joseph. West against the Negative team o f tho University o f Dayton. The Cedar­ ville Affirmative team won. The Ne­ gative team debated the University o f Dayton at the local High School in the afternoon. Saturday, March 14, Cedarville Col­ lege Girl's Gym was represented at the University o f Cincinnati with basketball, volley ball, and swimming teams to compete with Colleges o f Ohio and Indiana. March 17, Tuesday morning a special chapel was held. President W. R. McChesney introduced the speaker o f the' morning, Congressmen L. T. Marshall, o f the Seventh Dis­ trict o f Ohio, who talked to us on the "Machinery o f Legislation.’' The Literary Society met Monday evening, March 11, at the Public Library. John Richards, our new president, opened the meeting. Mr. Robert Reed, Professor o f Music at tho High School, fbvored us with several solos. Justin Hartman was elected as our'new vice president, who' was requested to give us a short speech.
