Jones and James Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. Charles DeBord, of Cedarville. DIARY OF INTERMEDIATE CLASS, BIBLE SCHOOL Monday, July 18— We played James ip the yard until all th e children esme.. Then Miss Hartman told us the other tewffier's names. Our teacher was Mrs, Cum minga. After we went to ,ow $JA*ses, we made a list of the things th a t we would like to do In Bible School. We were dismissed with eon&s and prayer. ' . Tuesday, July 14— After our worship service and Bibb) lesson, we started making our waste baskets. ^ A t recces, we learned a new game called, "Wpnder Ball," Wednesday, July 15— Today, Mrs. Cummings read -us a play cilied, “Flaga of All Nations.” ^ We decided that we would like to have the play. We started to make flags for all the different countries. We teamed to sing, “Fairest Lord Jesus.” Seven children offered pray- ars during benediction • rhursdsy, July 16— . After our Bible lesson, we worked on. our flags. During mature study, Mrs. Hill told us all about a moth named Cre- crapia. ■ ■ During benediction every child prayed a short prayer. Friday, July 17— We learned a game called, “German Bat Ball,” We started practicing our pl*y, Monday, July 20— We practiced our play and decided to give it f a r the other classes on Fri­ day, July 24. We song songs and- gave prayers a t the.end of our service,* Tuesday, July 21— Before recess we practiced our play again. Afterwards, we had nature study. We were dismissed with songs and prayers. Wednesday, July 22— ’ After our opening' exercises anj practicing, Mrs. Cummings read us a story called, “The Flying Horse.” In nature study, we learned about birds, trees and moths. We drew pictures for a nature book that we made. This ended another day. Thursday, July 23— We chose our costumes and prac­ ticed our play. Fo^ nature study, we went to the college campus to see some trees. We found many different leaves, some pinc cones and needles. ‘ We went back to the gymnasium for benediction. Friday, July 24— This was our last day, and the day of our play, so we practiced the flrst thing in the morning. Our class had recess before the other classes came in. A couple of other classes had plays and demonstrations before ours. Our nature’ study class told what it had been doing. Finally it was time for our play. Afterwards, Reverend Hill asked if; we wotdd give the play in some of the churches. At the end, our class had a treasure hunt.' The treasure was a big box of candy. * ■ By Bill S tern tt. VOCATIONAL DISPLAY The Home Economics and* Agri­ culture Institutions are building an Educational Exhibit a t the Greene County Fair, The purpose of (he ex­ hibit is to explain the .work of the seven Vocational Departments in the county. This exhibit will be placed in the A rt Hall a t the fair. Miss Albaugh and Mr. George have been working with the other vocational teachers in the county in building this new exhibit. Contracts Let For Ag. School Building The Board of Education has let the contract for material for the new agriculture building to the Cedarville Lumber Co., with the' exception of the heating plant and electrical work. The ColumbUs Heating A Ventilat­ ing Co,, gets the hot air heating plant. Bids for the electrical are withheld for the. present. Bids have been opened for the brick work but no con­ tract has been let, pending investiga­ tion. The Igoard this week elected Aden Barlow as assistant janitor arid Mrs. Beckey Spencer janitress of the upper floors. . Black, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Black, Bellbrook. The couple was attended by'Miss Virginia Black, sister of the groom and Mr. Lloyd. Mitchell, brother pf the bride.
