The two brothers and two sisters had a joint wedding, and recently held a joint anniversary event. Link, Springfield, urged teaching o f Spanish in American Schools so that we could have a better understanding between the countries south of us. The occasion was the an nual banquet o f the Cedar Cliff Chap ter, D. A. R.' held in the U. P. Church dining room, Tuesday evening, Judge Link toured South America three years ago and based' his talk on observations made on the trip, •The United States has been ignorant of South America’s resources o f which we have not taken advantage as has German,” he declared in describing the country’s agricultural resources and manufacturing concerns. Stereopticon slides made' from pic tures taken on the trip were shown by Judge Link, who described Rio de Janeiro as “ the most beautiful city in the world.” Forty-five members and guests at tended the dinner served by the women o f the'church. Tables were decorated with red, white and blue tapers and American flags in 'observ ance of Armistice Day. ^ Mrs. Fred Dobbins, Regent intro duced Judge Link and Mrs, M. J. Ba bin was in charge o f group singing and closed the .program with a vocal solo, “ God Bless Our Land.” Mrs. Donald F. Kyle was accompanist.
