Miss Barbara Smith' leaves this week for Monmouth, 111., where she, will enter the Freshman class this term in Monmouth College. Miss Martha Cooley, who teaches in Northern State Teachers College, Marquette, Mich., leaves this week for the opening of that school, Miss Cooley has been a member o f that faculty fo r several years. Mr Elmer Owens is announcing.the marriage o f his daughter, Isadore, to Virgil M. House o f Dayton, Ohio. The wedding was an event of August 2nd, after which the couple left for a trip to California. The wedding party consistted o f M tb . Jessie Kaiser, matron o f honor and Mr. George Trad, best-man, both o f Dayton. < The bride wore a light grey suit with white accessories and an orchid corsage. „ The double ring ceremony, was per formed by Rev. Chase Wednesday after noon, twenty members and a number of guests were present. “ The Research Club” was the sub ject of the meeting. Mrs. Paul Cum mings presented the gavel to the new president Mrs. Leon Kling. a Helpful program of the Research a Helpfull Program o f .the Research Club. Mrs. Karlh Bull had a paper Entitl ed “ The Ideal Club Woman” . Mrs. J. E. Kyle and Mrs. J. M. Auld con ducted a round table discussion.- Mrs. Fred Huish sang two groups of two songs each accompanied by Mrs. A-. Ward Creswell. One selec tion was also accompanied by a violin obligato ployed by Mr. Fred Huish. The home was beautifully decorat ed with gladioli and dahlias from Mr. Chase’s garden. : During the social hour refresh ments were served. ' Mrs. Chase was assisted by Mrs. Clark Wagner, Mrs. A. B. Evans and Mrs. Paul Townsley. CHURCH GROUPS ENJOY PARTY The Westminster Class o f the Pres byterian Church, The Wesley Weds of the Methodist Church and the Me Kibben Bible Class o f the United Pres byterian Church held a (joint cover ed dish dinner and party in the din ing room o f the United Presbyterian Church o n . Tuesday evening, about eighty were present and enjoyed a fine dinner which was followed by a short meeting in charge of Robert Cotter, president o f the McKibben Class. After which Nelson Creswell, operator o f the Cozy Theatre showed some movies that he had taken over the past eleven years o f •people, and views o f Cedarville, which proved to be very entertaining to the group as many saw familiar faces o f recent years, some o f whom have gone to their reward. P. J. McCorkell has been named as chairman o f a commit tee consisting o f himself represent- the Presbyterian group, Wilbur Wise- cup for the Methodists and Greer McCallister o f the United Presbyter ians to make arrangements to have a similiar party next year.. Mrs. Robert Huffman is president of the Wesley Weds and Mrs. John McMillan is president o f the West minster Class and they with their committees and Robert Cotter with his Minute Men are to be congratu lated on planning a fine evening.
