To meet the require­ ments o f the course, every hoy will perform six units o f work. The course will; cover work in drawing, wood-working, foundry, plastics, and mechanics. The hoys, are divided into groups one, two, and three, and each group works on a different unit, with the ex­ ception of the drawing unit. This is being completed now by the entire class, as a class project. Drawings o f a block, a brick, a, ball-pean hammer-head, swedge, a funnel, and a scoop are being made. Each unit will require approx­ imately six weeks for the com­ pletion . . . . Librarians have been appoint­ ed by Mrs. Chestnut fo r this year. There will be a different librarian for each period o f the day, as follows: First period, Marie Carroll; second period, Clara Mossman; third period, Anne Huffman; fourth period, Beverly Carzoo; fifth period, Martha Richards; sixth period, Kay Adams; and seventh period, Ann Duvall. , . . Thomas Herbert as speaker. Cash awards provided by the Ohio'University Fund, Jnc., will be $1Q9 fo r first place, $50 for second place, $23 for third place and $10 each for fourth to tenth places. All 108 winners in the local competitions will receive certi­ ficates. In addition, each school producing a winner will receive an etching o f 131-year-old Cut­ ler hall with appropriate inscrip­ tions in honor o f both the stu­ dent. and his .school. The student members o f the Cutler hall rededication com­ mittee will entertain and guide the high school students during their stay on the campus. The contest winners will take part in the many activities scheduled, including a military review, a football game between the Ohio university and University o f Cincinnati freshman teams, a band concert, a music program and a dance.
