TheCedarville Herald A Republican Newspaper Published Every Friday by THURMAN MILLER, JR.V Editor and Publisher Entered as second class mattefc October 31, 1887 at the Postof fice at Cedarville, Ohio, under Act of Congress o f March 1879, Member—National Editorial As sociation; Ohio Newspaper Asso ciation; Miami Valley Press As sociation, THE GREAT SEAL OF THE UNITED STATES On June 20, 1782 The Cont.i- nental Congress accepted the re port o f the committee that had had the privilege o f designing the Seal of the United States, This was the third committee to report, the first having been ap pointed July 4, 1776. When one studies this Great Seal it is realized that the United States has a destiny to fu lfill in the groat scheme of the universe. The Nation was born for a pur pose. Quoting from this article on the Seal we have an appreciat ion o f its symbolism. “ During this world reorgani zation and adjustments in our own country it is essential to study the message of the Great Seal. It gives courage to us to have faith in the future. Vision was displayed in the past; per spective is needed at present; and belief is paramount in the future.” A free people must be serious, for it has to do the greatest thing that ever was done in the world —'to govern itself. None love their country but who love their home. • FOR SALE • ♦ FOR SALE—Glow Boy coal heating stove and coal laundry stove.
