The Cedarville/.O. Herald.. ANNOUNCE WEDDING Announcement is being made of the approaching marriage of Miss Jayne McCorkell, Springfield, to John Hosier, Jr., Springfield. The wedding will take place Thanks giving day. Rev. O, 0 . Boggess will offi ciate at the service in the parson age of the Second Church of 'God, Springfield, at 10:30 a. m. Upon their return from a wed ding trip, Mr, Hosier and his bride will establish their home at 225 St. George street, Spring- field. Miss McCorkcll is the daughter of Mr, J. R. McCorkell, Salinas, Calif., and the late Mrs. Ilelene Ruth Pox, Springfield. She is the granddaughter o f Mrs. Mary McCorkell, Cedarville. Mr. Hosier is the son o f Mr. and Mrs. John Mosier, Sr., 1905 Beatrice street, Springfield. He attended Springfield high school and is employed by Norris Home Appliances, Springfield. HONOR BRIDE Miss Catherine Ferguson, near Clifton, fcride-elect of William Kyle, near Xenia, was honored at a dinner party at which Misses Ruth and Florence Andrews were hostesses at their home on the Xenia-Jamestown pike, last Wed nesday evening. Appointments for the dinner, at which there were covers for nine guests, were in yellow and white. Games were played fol lowing the dinner and Miss Fer guson was presented a gift by the hostesses. SHOWER Mrs. Charles Edinger was host ess at a shower at her home Thursday evening for Mrs. Ar thur Evans. Twenty guests were entertained with contests and prizes were won by Mrs. H. W. Evans, Mrs. Robert Dennehy, Miss Grace Lyt- . trell and Mrs. Ali^e Burr. Stormont enter tained the Kensington club at her home Thursday afternoon. In December; the. members will en tertain their husbands with a Xmas party at the home o f Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Turnbull. McKIBBEN CLASS The McKibben Bible class met at the U. P. church Friday even ing. Mr, and Mrs. Arnet Gordon, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dean and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cooley' were Host and Hostess. Arthur Evans had charge o f devotions. The group was shown colored slides of many beautiful scenes taken in Germany. Mrs. Ruth Lillick and Mrs. Dorothy Cotter Were the program committee. GOLDEN RULE CLASS The Golden Rule circle class o f the Methodist church met Fri day evening at the home of Mrs. W. B. Collier. The meeting was in charge of the president Mrs. J. 0 . Connor and Mrs. Cora Trumbo conducted a series o f in teresting and unique games, a delicious salad course was served to 25 members and guests by Mrs. Thomas Frame and Miss Elizabeth Barrett.
