Wilson, of Fairfield, are announcing the com­ ing marriage o f their daughter, Miss Betty Jo, to Leslie Stormont, son o f Mr. and Mrs. II. K. Stor­ mont. The wedding will take place Sunday afternoon, Nov. 28, at 4:30 in the Fairfield Reformed church. Mr. Stormont is employ­ ed In the engineering department at Wright Field and Miss Wilson is a graduate nurse at Miami Val­ ley hospital. The couple will re­ side in Fairfield. A reception will follow the wedding in the church dining room. MID-YEAR INSTITUTE The district mid-year institute for junior high and high school ages was held, Saturday, in the Greenfield Methodist church. Pro­ grams and classes fo r different age groups were held, and a ban­ quet and worship program closed the day. Attending from here were Rev. W. B. Collier, Mrs. Jane Mills, Janet Gordon, Ann Huff­ man, Patsy Collier and Phyllis Spurgeon. KENSINGTON CLUB MEETS Mrs. Roy Waddle entertained the Kensington club at her home, Thursday afternoon. Mrs. John Davis gave a Thanksgiving story and roll call was answered by giving a verse o f thanks from the Bible. The group voted to give gifts to the Veterans' hospital in Dayton through the Red Cross. The Christmas meeting will be at the home o f Mrs, Fred Dobbins. Mrs. Waddle was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Eugene Derby, in serving a. dessert course to the guests. K. Y. N. CLUB MEETS Election o f officers was held when Mrs. Emile Finney enter­ tained the K. Y . N. club at her home, Friday afternoon. Officers elected were; President, Mrs. Emile Finney; vice president Mrs. Clayton McMillan; secre­ tary,-treasurer, Mrs, J. 0- Con­ nor. Thanksgiving appointments were used and roll call was. an­ swered with, Family Traditions at Christmas. Plans were made to hold the Christmas party, Dec. 13, in the Methodist church. Mrs. Finney served a dessert course to 22 members. 'MISSIONARY MEETING Mi's. Warren Barber, Mrs. E. E. Finney and Mrs. Paul Townsley were hostesses when the Woman’s Missionary society met at the U. P. church, Monday afternoon. A program on, The American’ In­ dian, was presented by Mrs. Don­ na Finney, Mrs. Roy Waddle and Miss Mabel Stormont. Refresh­ ments were served by the host­ esses. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Thomp­ son, Jackson street, Springfield, announce the engagement of their daughter. Miss Jonetta Biteman, to Jack Brewer, son o f Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Brewer. Miss Bitoman graduated from Enon high school last year and is employed at First National ’Bank. Mr. Brewer, a sophomore at Cedarville college, is employed by Omar* Bakery.
