Hnisb, pre sented her piano students in a recital in the United Presbyter ian Chureh Tuesday evening. Twenty-si students from Cedar- ville and Jamestown toop part. A piano duet was given by Mrs. Hnisfc and Mrs. Greer McGalHs- ter. Following the recital Mrs. Hnisb and students were honored with a reception. Remarks were given by Mrs. McCallister and a response by Mrs. Hnisb. Mr. and Mrs. Haish have resigned their college positions and will leave soon for their new home in Rushville, Ind. AT INDIAN LAKE Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cummings and family spent the weekend at Indian Lake. NOTICE TO GIRL SCOUTS —A ll three Girl Scout troops are asked to help the D. A . S. o f the Metho dist Church will have a covered dish picnic on the Church lawn, Wednesday, June 1, at 12 o’clock. In case o f bad weather same will be held inside the Church. There will be installation o f officers. Members are asked to bring cov ered dish and table service. ALUMNI PARTY AT SCHOOL HOUSE Musical entertainment and a “ 50-50” dance highlighted the en tertainment at a party fo r sen iors and alumni o f Cedarville High School held Friday night in the school auditorium. Charlotte Harphant, a Cedar ville High School senior, sang a solo and presented a vocal duet with Barbara Koppe, another sen ior. Dancing to the orchestra o f Irvin Swindler o f Xenia followed the program. The party, attended by 100 sen iors and alumni, was opened by by Mr. Harold. Stormont, an alum- a welcome address to the seniors nus. The response was given b - Townsley, president o f the al umni group,, presided during the business meeting at which new -officers were elected. Mr. Stprmont was elected pres ident fo r the coming year. Other new officers are Mr.'Wayne Cor- ry, vice president; Miss Alberta Owens, recording secretary; Mrs. James Chesnut. corresponding secretary, and Mr. Curias Hughes treasurer. RETURNS TO HOME Mrs. Paul Stonebumer and son, accompanied by her father, Mrs, Marion Hughes, returned to her home in Blacksburg. Virginia. Mr. Stonebumer has been visit ing relatives here. GOES TO CHICAGO Miss Doris Hartman, who has been visiting relatives here, is spending a few days in Chicago with Mr. and Mrs. Cl,rde Hutch inson and family before return ing to her home in Vermont. ENTERTAINS SOCIETY : Mrs. Arthur Pfieffer entertain ed the Missionary Society o f the Clifton United Presbyterian Church at her home Wednesday. Sirs. Ralph Rife was the leader. VISITING HERE BEFORE GOING TO ALASKS Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Dutiel and daughter, North Hampton, formerly o f here are visiting rel atives in Wellston, prior to leav ing fo r King Island, Alaska, where they will make their home. Mr. Dutiel graduated from Ce darville College last year and has taught in North Hampton school the past year. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dutiel plan to teach in A] '.ska. 4th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED Mrs. Lewis Lillich entertained a group o f children, Thursday afternoon honoring the 4th birth day o f her daughter, Carol.
