An executive committee meet­ ing o f the Women’s Missionary societies of United Presbyterian Church of Xenia preibytery met in Cedarville last Friday. They ap­ pointed committees and made plans for the Presbyterial con­ vention which will be held in 2nd U. P. church in Xenia, April 14th. Mrs. John W. Bickett was elected chairman of the program com­ mittee with Mrs. Thomas Prugh o f Sugar Creek, Mrs. Herman Eavey, Xenia; Mrs. Vaughn Peele, Springfield;.and Mrs. Fred Huish of Jamestown. Those attending from the Clifton U. P« church were Mrs. Ernest Collins, who was appointed chairman of the toller’s committee at the convention, Mrs, Ernest Folek, Mrs. David Brad- fute and Mrs. Harlan Butts. The Fidelity class of the U. P. church enjoyed an oyster dinner last Monday night at home of Mr, ancl Mrs. David Bradfute, Mrs. John Collins has been ill at her home. . Miss Nettie Shaw is in City hospital following an accident. All the women o f this commu­ nity are invited to the World Day o f Prayer Friday, March 4th. A deep-dish dinner will be served at noon followe by a program. Mr. Art Robinson is confined to. his home with sickness. The Westminister class of the Presbyterian Church “ belled” the newly-married Mr. and Mrs. Wal­ lace Dillingham last Friday night. Clara _Sexton won 2nd place and Joan Sheeley 3rd in the Mi­ ami Valley Outdoor contest held recently in Dayton, Ohio. One hundred forty-seven girls com­ peted in this event which was sponsored by the Dayton Herald. The distinction won by Clara en­ titles her to a trio to Northbay, Canada this summer. The Young People of the U. P. church will have a spaghetti sup­ per at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Collins, Monday, March 7th at 7:00. The Emanon society of the Presbyterian church will meet Thursday, March 10, at the home of Mrs. Charles Spencer, assisted by Mrs. Harold 'Frances, who is also the leader in discussing the topic, The Passover.
