April 29, 1949 BROWNIES ATTEND TELEVISION SHOW Fifteen members o f the Brownie Scout Troop with their leaders, Mrs. Paul Cummings, and Mrs. Don Hubbard attended a ' WLW television show in Cin cinnati Monday afternoon. The group sang a song cn the child rens program, Junior Jamboree. Members attending were Lois Thayer, Joy Evans. Lynn Cum mings, Mildred McCallister, El eanor® MacGregor, Janice Stew art, Rita Lowry, Wanda Lewis, Tresa Turner, Judy Walker, . Jo Ann Lewis, Betty Charles, Vir ginia Cahill, Caroline Thorston, Joyce Klontz. Three mother’s also attended. They were. Mrs. Grtfcr McCallister, Mrs. Thayer and Mrs. Robert MacGregor. After a tour o f the studio the group ate dinner at the Howard Johnston Restaurant on khdlv return home. HONORED AT PARTY Mrs. J. Auld and Mrs. Clayton McMillan were honored at a party given Tuesday afternoon at the home o f Mrs. Ira Vayhinger. The party was given by the "College Advisory board. Mrs. Auld has moved to Springfield and Mrs. McMillan is retiring from the board. Each was presented with a gift. LEAVES FOR NEW YURK Rev. and Mrs. Frederick Huish left this week fo r New York to meet Mr. Huish’s mother who is arriving from England on the Queen Mary for a 3 months visit with her son and family. The Huish family will move from Jamestown to Rushville Ind. in June where Rev. Huish has ac cepted a call to the United Pres byterian Church there. ' MRS. BAILEY ENTERTAINS CLUB The “ 12” Bingo Club met Fri day evening at the home of Mrs. Lottella Bailey. Eight members were present- and spent the even ing playing bingo. Mrs. Edna Littler won first prize and Mrs. Esta Truesdale won second. A salad course was served by Mrs. Bailey. The May meeting will he at the home of Mrs. Truesdale.
