Friday, July 22, 1949 JANET WILLIAMSON. TO WED JULY 30 Miss Janet Williamson, bride- clect of Kenneth E. Barker, Gal- ion, 'was complimented recently when Mrs. Delmer C. Jobe and. daughter, Miss Joan, entertained at a personal shower at their home near CedaTville. Miss Jobe will be a, bridesmaid at the wedding o f Miss William­ son and Mr. Barker -which will take place in thg. Cedarville Pres­ byterian Church on Saturday, July 30, at 8 p. m. Forty-five guests wre enter­ tained at the Jobe home. The party was held on the p o r c h which was decorated, with a pro­ fusion o f summer flowers, em­ ploying a color motif o f aqua and pink. A dessert course was serv­ ed, the ices being molded in the forms o f miniature fruits. Miss Williamson, who is be­ ing feted at a series of pre-nup­ tial parties* is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond T. Wil­ liamson, near Cedarville. The par­ ents of the bridegroom-elect are Mr. and Mrs. F. V. Barker of Galion. ATTENDS MEETING Dr. E. A? Jamieson attended a meeting o f the Synodical Com­ mittee to plan fo r the Evange­ listic Crusade fo r this church year, in the United- Preesbyterian Church o f Hamilton, Ohio, Wed­ nesday o f this week. Hamburgers were wrapped, in foil paper and decorated with doll bouse furni­ ture. Same furniture was given as prizees for games played. The couple will reside here. HEALTH COUNCIL MEETS MONDAY The Greene County Health Council held a picnic* supper at the Community shelter house "Monday evening. The council is composed, o f representatives from clubs and organizations in Greene county and meets four times each year. Thirty-four representatives and their families were present. -Roy Dudrow o f Xenia is presi­ dent and Mrs. Fred Dobbins* is vice-president. Dr. S. C. Ellis o f Xenia was speaker and 'des­ cribed at length the .plans and purposes of the new G r e e n e County hospital. Br» Ellis is chairman of the hospital com­ mittee. VISIT AT INDIAN LAKE Mrs. Walter Cummings and daughters are spending several days at their cottage at Indian Lake.
