cedarville 130 th Anniversary Timeline 1975 Cedarville accredited for the first time by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, completing an 18-year process. 1978 Paul Dixon named president. 1972 Science Center constructed; engineering and nursing programs added to the building in 1992. 1987 Students transport books from the old library to the new Centennial Library. The Centennial Library opens during the 100th anniversary of Cedarville. 1976 James T. Jeremiah Chapel built; renamed Apple Technology Resource Center in 1997. 1982 Nursing program begins; B.S.N. three-year completion plan announced in 2017. 1981 Callan Athletic Center built.
