1990 2000 2010 1994 Brian Nester takes over as Director of Mission Involvement Services. 2005 More than 600 students volunteer to clean up and restore the Louisiana and Mississippi coastline after Hurricane Katrina. 1995 Christian Ministries Division moves into Dixon Ministry Center, under the leadership of Bob Rohm ’68,Vice President for Christian Ministries. 1996 Missionary Internship Service changes name to Missions Involvement Services. 2004 For the first time, more than 300 students serve in international missions. Early 1990s After fall of Berlin Wall, teams go to Russia, Romania, and Hungary. Late 90s Students in engineering, teaching English as a second language, and computer science programs begin serving with missionaries in Liberia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. 2014 Community Ministries and Missions Involvement Services merge to form Global Outreach. 2013 The Christian Ministries and Student Life Divisions merge, under the leadership of Jon Wood,Vice President for Student Life and Christian Ministries. 2018 Nearly 400 students, faculty, and staff participate in short-term missions trips.
