Pastor David Vance @pastordavevance ∙ September 13 What an amazing time speaking @cedarville university. So love what God is doing at this place. Grateful for the Gospel-centered leadership and immense impact happening around the world through these students. Elizabeth Axtell @Liz_Axtell ∙ August 2 The fact that my professors are still contacting me to tell me they’re praying for me as I move to grad school tomorrow is the entire reason why going to grad school is so hard. I’m going to miss them so much! @cedarville thank you for hiring professors that care even about grads. Cedarville Surpasses 4,000 Students for First Time This fall, Cedarville enrolled 4,193 students in its undergraduate, graduate, and dual enrollment programs — the first time in the University’s 131-year history that enrollment has surpassed 4,000. This year’s enrollment represents an impressive 5.8 percent increase of 230 students over last year, which was 3,963. Contributing to the record enrollment was a second consecutive record freshman class of 911 students (pictured above), up 4.5 percent compared to last year’s record of 872 students, and an 86.5 percent freshman-to-sophomore retention rate. The three-story, 63,000-square-foot structure will be one of the largest residence halls on campus. One side will be a women’s wing and the other a men’s wing, each with its own lounge. The two sides will share a spacious, three-story central lounge. The new hall will also provide four handicapped-accessible suites and parking for 200 vehicles. Danis corporation will construct the building. The entire cost of the project, including furniture and infrastructure, is estimated at $13.3 million. Once completed, this will be the third new residence facility at Cedarville in the last four years, and should enable the University to finally close one of the oldest housing units on campus, Faith Hall. Cedarville added Jenkins Hall in 2017 and Walker Hall in August. CAMPUS NEWS Cedarville Magazine | 35 If you love Cedarville University − home of the Yellow Jackets − this is the place to shop.
