Main St., Cedarville, OH 45314 1-888-CEDARVILLE | magazine@cedarville.edu cedarville.edu/magazine We only have so many days to impact our world for Christ. Psalm 90:12 states, “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” On day 1, Megan arrived at Cedarville and was met with rows of smiling and cheering students clapping pool noodles together at “Getting Started,” but internally, a tsunami of doubts and concerns dominated her life. She later told us that during the first week of classes she intended to go back to her room and take her own life. But God! On day 5, during evening Fal l Bible Conference, the speaker presented the life- transforming message of the Gospel. Megan was moved by the message and accepted Jesus as her personal Savior after further discussion with her resident assistant. Somewhere around day 300, Megan joined a discipleship group where she experienced close- knit community with sisters pursuing Christ together, leading to further life transformation. About day 550, her speech team coach and teammates encouraged her to share the Gospel, and she learned how to bring the Good News of Jesus to those who were far from Christ. A life transformed that will for endless days sing God’s praise in heaven. There are l ives transformed al l over Cedarville’s campus. A lost sinner saved by the power of the Gospel. Students who realize their vocational calling to serve God through a chosen career path. A student joins a discipleship group for the first time and learns the power of small- group accountability. Students embark upon a short-term missions trip where their lives are transformed to pray more, give more, or respond to the call of career missionary service. Students begin daily devotions and for the first time realize the sweet peace of pursuing a personal relationship with God through His Word. Now our campus needs to be transformed. For more than a decade, God has blessed Cedarville with record enrollments. Our residence halls are full. Our classrooms are not far behind. Chapel overflows with sincere worshippers singing praise and listening with open Bibles. Students apply to Cedarville because they seek a conservative biblical worldview in every major and in every classroom. Students desire academic excellence in an authentically Christian community focused on serving King Jesus. Will we have to turn them away because we have no room? We need more residence halls for discipleship and more classrooms for the cultivation of academic excellence. Not just buildings, but Spirit-filled spaces where eternal impact occurs throughout students’ 1,000 days on campus. Every Student Matters! Every Day Matters! And to accomplish a transformed campus … Every Gift Matters! We have already witnessed God providing generously to transform our campus so that He may transform more lives for His glory. The hardest part remains. The final quarter of the campaign is like the final quarter of a marathon. Every prayer, every encouragement, and every gift will help us obtain the goal. God will accomplish this goal one way or another, I have no doubt. I pray that you may experience the joy of accomplishing this goal with us. Today, you can join this movement and play an important role in what God is doing in the cornfields of Ohio. So, we pray and we ask you to partner with us in training the next generation with excellence to stand for the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.
