Eimers, Professor Emeritus of Physics and Mathematics, taught at Cedarville University for more than 30 years, from 1981 until his retirement in 2011. He was passionate about teaching, mentoring, and sharing Christ with his students. Eimers also faithfully served his local church, Emmanuel Baptist Church of Xenia. CONSERVATISM SERIES FEATURES FORBES, CONTINETTI On November 17, 2022, Steve Forbes, Editor-in-Chief of Forbes magazine, spoke on campus as part of the “What is Conservatism?” lecture series. His lecture titled "Free Enterprise and Free People" addressed the economic implications of conservatism and how those ideas play a role in American politics. On November 3, Matthew Continetti, American journalist and senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, also spoke to students. His topic was “What Is Conservatism? A Label Under Dispute.” The “What Is Conservatism?” lecture series was hosted by the Center for Political Studies to help students understand and grapple with the changing definitions of conservatism in our culture and the subsequent impact on ideas about the constitution, the economy, and foreign policy.
