12 | Cedarville Magazine Since 1986, when Miriam Maddox’s colleagues, former students, and their parents established a scholarship in her name, Maddox’s daughter, Audrey Jennings, has had the joy of meeting the student- recipients and passing on her mother’s legacy. She has kept the letters of gratitude they’ve written and relishes the details of their future plans: education, broadcasting, ministry, theatre, and more. “Several have said they are preparing to do ‘whatever God wants me to do,’” Jennings said, “and I like that.” Nearly 30 students have received this award, and several have had a personal connection, such as a parent who was one of Maddox’s students.
