Cedarville University stands as a testament to the transformative power of generosity. Inspired by our vision of standing for the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ, thousands of donors have given financially over our 137-year history to provide a lifetransforming experience for students. In recent years, God has blessed One Thousand Days Transformed: The Campaign for Cedarville in mighty ways, as we have announced five of the largest gifts in University history. These gifts have already made an impact in our commitment to expand our capacity, maximize affordability, transform lives, and provide for the future. However, the parable of the widow’s mite in Mark 12:41–44 reminds us that the true measure of generosity is not in the size of the gift but in the heart. While we may marvel at the impact of a $12M or $10M gift, a key theme of this campaign has been that every gift matters. There is power to transform lives in every single gift — whether $5 or $5M. In this edition of Cedarville Magazine, we want to demonstrate the impact of gifts of all sizes by looking at the nearly 60,000 gifts made to the campaign that are less than $10,000.
