Washington St. , James­ town, is on his way to'China ports aboard the carrier USS Essex. After enlisting in the Navy in November of 1953, F l a u g h e r attended various service schools. Troop 69 Has Christmas Fete Girl Scout troop No 69 will have a Christmas party at the Scout room Thursday after­ noon. The birthdays of Mar­ jorie Spitler and S a und r a ' DeHaven, will be observed. The s c o u t s will bring gifts for a n e e d y family instead of exchanging g i f t s among themselves. The troop took part in the carol singing on Saturday, _____ Fields handled the program. Part of the program included a kitchen band made up of five of the Band Mothers. Also on the program was a trio, composed of Misses Kay Murphy, Virginia Cahill, and Betty Bennington, who sang "Winter Wonderland;" a pi­ ano duet by Nancy and Jane Ellen Dobbins; a solo by Ju­ dith McMillan who sang "In a Lowly Manger, " and "Here Comes Santa Claus,” accom­ panied on the piand by her sistef, Janet; and a tap dance- by Carolyn Fields and Carol Lillich. Councilmen Monday night set aside $120 for the pur­ chase of a siren. The exact model has not been picked.
